PENSIONER Margaret Wood has marked her 80th birthday by raising £800 in donations for Prospect Hospice.
She made sure to tell her guests that instead of buying her presents they should make donations to the hospice.
“I was very pleased that so many people came along to celebrate,” said Margaret.
“It was a lovely party, and it was so nice that my friends raised such a lot of money for this good cause.”
Prospect Hospice fundraiser Gifty Tawiah said: “We are thrilled that Margaret chose to ask for donations towards our care on her 80th birthday, and we thank her and her friends for their generous support, and also wish Margaret a very happy birthday.”
