Storm causes morning headache for commuters

SWINDON seems to be over the worst of the stormy weather as transport links around the town get back to normal.
Strong winds and rain battered the county of Wiltshire during the early hours of this morning causing a number of trees to come crashing down and delays for commuters.
The M4 was moving at slowly during rush hour following an accident eastbound between J16 A3102 / B4005 (Swindon West) and J15 A346 Marlborough Road / A419 Marlborough Road (Swindon East). It is thought this has now been cleared.
A number of minor roads across Wiltshire are impeded or blocked by trees that have fallen overnight.
The council is doing its best to deal with them but motorists are reminded they should drive according to the prevailing road and weather conditions and anticipate the unexpected.
