Family and friends of Richard ‘Dick’ Bishop, who was a familiar figure in Malmesbury, recognisable by his white stick, cloth cap and shopping bag, will gather for his funeral at Malmesbury Abbey at midday today.
All who knew Mr Bishop, formerly of Bartons Close, Horsefair, Malmesbury, are invited to attend.
Mr Bishop died on Monday, November 25, in the Brighton care home of Blind Veterans UK.
Donations in lieu of flowers are requested to go to the Blind Veterans UK charity via Matthews Independent Funeral Directors. Call (01666) 822216.
