Marlborough artist Angela Lambert’s work goes on public display for the first time next month.
Three of Ms Lambert’s portraits have been commissioned for Contemporary Portrait: Self and Others at the Shire Hall in Stafford from January 11 to March 5 .
Ms Lambert, 56, of Hawkins Meadow, who works in Dorothy Perkins in the High Street, will display a self portrait as well as paintings of actors David Tennant and Benedict Cumberbatch.
She has only been painting portraits for a year, having started out as an illustrator and designer.
She said: “When I got the email to say they wanted to display all three portraits I’d submitted I was so excited.”
“Everyone who has seen the paintings seem to like them.”
