Knees' relocation should trigger a new approach to parking charges, according to the chair of the Trowbridge Town Team.
David Baker said: “It is a disappointment but I understand where it is coming from.
“It is unfortunate a long-standing business is moving out of the town to be financially secure, but I also see it as an opportunity. Hopefully we can get a major national brand into the building and give us a chance to build the town further.
“It is not disappearing completely. It will still be on the other side (of town) with its supporters.
“We are still continuing to challenge the car parking rate within Trowbridge and hopefully will be meeting with Wiltshire Council early next year.
“I would like to think between us and Wiltshire Council we can have a more flexible approach to car parking.”
