A man who was arrested last month in connection with the murder of Melanie Hall has been re-bailed until February 19.
The 44-year-old man was arrested at his home in Bath as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of the 25-year-old, who was killed after disappearing from the Cadillacs nightclub in the city in 1996.
At the start of October, Det Supt Mike Courtiour, who is leading the investigation, revealed police had uncovered new evidence, including detailed information about the blue rope used to tie up Miss Hall's body and a recently seized white A-registered Volkswagen Golf CTI cabriolet car.
The renewed appeal for information marked the fourth anniversary of the discovery of Melanie’s body, wrapped in bin bags and left next to the slip road of the M5 near Thornbury.
