The A4 Bath Road near Corsham is currently closed while fire crews work to rescue two elderly women trapped after a car crash.
Police officers were called to the scene by the ambulance service at 3.53pm, after a Citroen Saxo collided with a silver Rover near the junction with Cross Keys Road.
A fire crew is also in attendance, with firefighters working to remove the roof of the Citroen to free the two elderly passengers.
The road is currently closed eastbound to all traffic.
