A BIKER made a lucky escape in a smash-up in Royal Wootton Bassett this morning.
Wiltshire Police were called to the scene at 8.21am near the junction of the B4042 with Swindon Road after a motorcyclist collided with a car.
The motorcycle and a lorry were travelling towards the roundabout when the lorry pulled out and forced the motorcyclist to swerve into the path of the car.
The lorry left the scene and may have been unaware of the collision.
The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries although an ambulance was called.
Other drivers should be aware of delays along the stretch of road.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
