FORMER Swindon Town FC Manager Ossie Ardiles has been involved in a car accident in the Falkland Islands.
Ossie, who took over as manager of the Robins in 1989, has undergone more than 20 stistches in his head, according to reports.
It is believed the 61 year old had been driving with fellow ex-Argentina midfielder Ricky Villa as a passenger.
"My understanding is he is fine," said his eldest son, Pablo, when he spoke to the BBC.
"He has 20 odd stitches in his head and my understanding is he has been hospitalised overnight. But he's fine."
The pair are in the Falkland Islands to film a television documentary, which is being directed by Freddie Ardiles, the youngest of the former footballer's two sons.
