KAREN Edwards, mother of murdered Becky-Godden Edwards, has expressed her delight at the news the detective who found her daughter has kept his job.
Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher was given a final written warning after being found guilty of two counts of gross misconduct by an independent panel today.
The two charges found proved were that DSI Fulcher failed to caution killer Chris Halliwell while interviewing him and also for going against the force's media policy.
In an emotional video the 52-year-old praised DSI Fulcher for his actions during the case and said the door had now opened for reform of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
She also thanked Wiltshire Police for allowing her to sit in on the private hearing.
