Children at Westwood with Iford Primary School created their own music scene with recycled materials.
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust hosted the workshop and taught pupils from Reception, Year One and Year Two the value of recycling, while also incorporating other topics on the school’s curriculum.
Reception/Year One teacher Ann Cook said: “Our science topic is about sound, but we are also learning about dinosaurs. We linked the two topics and the focus was on reusing materials that would otherwise be thrown away or put into landfill.
“We gave Wiltshire Wildlife Trust the brief and they worked with it. It was really good fun for the children.”
After creating instruments from pots, cups and tins, the pupils performed with them while singing about dinosaurs.
