Residents in Calne are invited to nominate hard-working people for one of three annual civic awards.
The awards, to be presented in April, include the mayor’s civic award, the mayor’s gift fund, and a young citizen award.
The mayor’s award, decided by mayor Mercy Baggs, is for an individual or couple recognised for their hard work in the community. The young citizen award is open to a young person, or a group of young people, aged 11 to 17 living in Calne who have had a positive impact on the town.
The mayor also awards a grant of £250 to a young person who has demonstrated outstanding ability.
The deadline to nominate someone is March 31. For an application form, email schappell@calne.gov.uk or call (01249) 814000.
