The Post Office in Lower Westwood will close for three days next Tuesday, February 4 for refurbishment into a modern branch with extended opening hours.

The changes will provide customers with a Post Office and village store services from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday.

The Post Office will close at noon on the Tuesday and will reopen next Friday at 1pm.

Customers can use the following nearest branches in Bradford on Avon; Winsley Road Post Office, Trowbridge Road Post Office and the Post Office in Budgens.

Meanwhile, there is only a week left for the public to comment on the proposed move of Holt Post Office to the village convenience store.

The public consultation for the current store in The Common to move to Holt Superstore in The Street is closing on Monday, February 3.

The move is part of major modernisation programme across the Post Office network, designed to provide longer opening hours and open plan environments. In the new store the opening period would rise to 52.2 hours over seven days.
