Students from Stagecoach Trowbridge put their talents to the test at The Civic Centre for a Britain’s-Got-Talent-style show with the help of guest judges.

A total of 100 youngsters aged six to 17 dazzled a panel of VIP guests with their dance, drama and musical routines.

Judges included Trowbridge local and queen of CBBC TV Gemma Hunt and stage performer Mike Martin.

Principal of Stagecoach Trowbridge Freddie Underwood said: “The atmosphere was electric. Everyone was very excited after hearing us talk about the show on BBC radio that morning. The students put on some truly amazing performances.”

The youngest students in the school, aged between six and eight, took home the award for Best Overall Piece for their rendition of Whistle Down the Wind, dubbed by the judges as “simple, still and beautiful”.

Joshua Patton-Lock, 10, was awarded Most Inspirational Performance for his comedy role as an Ugly Sister in the drama The Prince. Others received awards for dance routines to classics such as Fame and Guys and Dolls, as well as more modern hits like Wings by Little Mix and End of Time by Beyonce.
