More than 400 Air Cadets and staff representing units throughout Wiltshire will parade through Marlborough on Sunday, February 9.
The parade marks the 73rd anniversary of the formation of the Air Training Corps, and each year a different squadron is chosen to host the special parade.
This year, it is the turn of 2293 (Marlborough) Squadron, which will be celebrating its own Diamond Jubilee.
The parade will march through Marlborough, starting at 2pm, and pass along the High Street, where the salute will be taken by Wing Commander Vanessa Toth, Officer Commanding Dorset Wilts Wing. She will be accompanied by the Mayor of Marlborough, Coun Guy Loosmoor and the mayoress.
The cadets and staff will then attend a special service at St Mary’s Church starting at 2.30pm, after which there will be a reception at the Town Hall.
“ATC Sunday is a very special day for everyone in the Air Cadet organisation” said Wing Commander Toth.
“It is our opportunity to show everyone the high standards that cadets achieve, and we hope that many people will come along to watch our parade and encourage the cadets.”
