THE Swindon version of Monopoly has been dubbed the sixth weirdest version of the legendary board game.

New York-based viral list collators BuzzFeed drew up a top 13 featuring subject matter as diverse as One Direction Monopoly, Cat Lovers Monopoly and Bass Fishing Monopoly.

The Swindon edition, released last year and featuring landmarks such as Lydiard Park, Coate Water, Arkell’s Brewery with the Magic Roundabout, was the only geographical variation to appear in the countdown.

"Now you can become the banker/landlord dictator of your small local British town, with a convenient setting 40 miles between Bristol and Reading," wrote Scott Bryan, who put together the list.
