Devizes firm Oped UK has joined forces with charity Bag4Sport Foundation to give Wiltshire Olympian Grant Turner a £2,500 grant towards his training costs.
Grant, who grew up in Swindon and went to Bradon Forest School, Purton, finished fifth in the pool at the London Olympics.
But he and other British swimmers lost much of their Lottery funding as the team did not meet the medal target set before the Games.
Grant, who is an ambassador for Bag4Sport, will take part in trials in April for the England team at the Commonwealth Games.
He said: “I am very grateful to Bag4Sport Foundation for linking me up with Oped and to the firm for giving me this grant. It will make a real difference to me. I train for about 36 hours a week and so it is difficult to get a paid-for-job that fits in. This money will mean I can concentrate on swimming.”
Jason Caulfield-Ware, who set up the UK arm of the German company Oped nearly three years ago, said: “I am very pleased to continue my support of Bag4Sport Foundation and to give this money to Grant.”
