Youngsters at Rushall Primary School have been enjoying a taste of the Robin Hood lifestyle thanks to weekly archery lessons.

This term, pupils from year three to year six have dabbled in the medieval sport every Tuesday with lessons provided by Oxenwood, the outward bound activity centre.

Deputy headteacher Katie Turner said: “The children are absolutely loving the opportunity and have become quite the experts with their bows and arrows.”

The school is funding the initiative using the special Sports Premium Fund, which has been allocated to primary schools to help encourage the development and enjoyment of a wide range of different sporting activities.
