Final preparations are coming together for Trowbridge’s annual pancake race which is taking place on Tuesday morning.
The Trowbridge Town Council event will see entrants flipping foam pancakes along the Fore Street course.
The first race begins at 10.30am with registration closing at 10am. There are four categories to enter which include teams for men, women, children and a relay which requires a team of four.
Maryrose Mantle, the town council’s community development officer, said: “This is a good old fashioned traditional event and we are pleased to be able to continue. We’ve had good interest so far and we’d really welcome school groups and businesses who we want to take part.”
The Wiltshire Times will be one of Trowbridge-based businesses entering a team in the Shrove Tuesday event.
Each entrant will receive a certificate while there will be trophies for those who win the four categories.
