A PAIR of teenagers accused of taking part in a street robbery have had the charges against them dropped after a co-defendant pleaded guilty.

Luke Cooper, 18, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, had denied taking part in a mugging with another man on November 19.

But after 21-year-old Michael Price admitted the offence, prosecutors at Swindon Crown Court offered no evidence against the teenagers.

But Price will still face a trial before a judge sitting alone as he denies using a knife or kicking the victim during the incident on Cambria Bridge Road.

Recorder James Watson QC adjourned the case to Tuesday, May 6 and remanded the defendant in custody until then.

Price, of The Circle, Pinehurst, is accused of being armed with a knife when he took a bag and its contents during the robbery.
