POLICE and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson is now on Twitter.
People can follow the Commissioner on the social media site by visiting www.twitter.com/PCCWiltsSwindon. Mr Macpherson said: “As the elected Police and Crime Commissioner for the area, a major part of my role is engaging with people about policing and crime matters.
“Twitter and other social media channels provide a way for me to communicate directly and instantly with the public.
“As I said in my first Tweet, I’m pleased to be on Twitter and I’m encouraging people to follow me to find out more about my role and what I get up to each day.”

The website is regularly updated with news and events as well as the Commissioner’s weekly blog. Outside of the digital world, Mr Macpherson hosts quarterly Meet the Commissioner events around the county. He and members of his team also attend Wiltshire Council Area Boards and Swindon Locality meetings plus community events.
