St George & the Dragon is one of the most popular seasonal ales brewed by Wadworth, usually appearing in pubs in the lead up to St George’s day in April.
But this year it is the pubs in time to enjoy a pint while cheering on England in the Six Nations Rugby Tournament.
“We at Wadworth are keen rugby supporters and proud to be major sponsors of the great Bath rugby team to prove it,” said Wadworth sales and marketing director Paul Sullivan.
“St George & the Dragon is a truly English ale and the ideal beer to sup while enjoying a match at the pub.”
Wadworth describt it as a thoroughly traditional beer, refreshing with a crisp and tangy palate. It has hints of orange and blackcurrant and has been established as a popular annual favourite for many years.
The ale will be available on draught in selected pubs until April.
Bottles of St George & The Dragon are available from the brewery visitor centre in Devizes and now online.
