IN RESPONSE to demand, additional buses will run on a number of Thamesdown routes from April 6 and a service will be provided to the new Waitrose store at Wichelstowe, which opens on April 10.

An additional bus will be provided on Service 22, from Okus to Barnfield, at 7.04am on Mondays to Fridays. There will also be minor amendments to Service 22 timings on Sundays.

Service 27 will also benefit from an extra bus, running at 4.05pm from Kembrey Park to the bus station and Lydiard Fields.

In order to serve the new Waitrose store at Wichelstowe, Service 15 will be extended to terminate at Middle Wichel. There will also be new late evening and Sunday services introduced between Fleming Way, Old Town, East Wichel and Middle Wichel.

Timings will be changed on Service 11 after 9pm on Mondays to Saturdays, and on Service 28.

Service 28 will also take a revised route to and from Lydiard Fields via the Outlet Village, Paddington Drive, Westlea Drive, Freshbrook Way and Gainsborough Way, to avoid the heavy traffic on Whitehill Way.

Details of the changes are in an amendment leaflet available on the buses and from the Thamesdown Travel Shop in Fleming Way.

The leaflet is also available online at www.thamesdownbus.com.
