St John’s School in Marlborough will be closed to pupils in years 7-10 on Wednesday because of strike action by the National Union of Teachers .

The school will be open for students in years 11, 12 and 13 but some of their lessons may be affected depending on which NUT members strike.

Pupils in year 7 can go into school and work under supervision but they will not have any formal lessons and parents have to contact the school before Wednesday if they want to make use of this provision.

Pewsey Vale School is expected to open as normal.
