Members of Bradford on Avon Oxfam and Save the Children groups were joined by townspeople for a vigil in Westbury Gardens to mark three years since the start of the Syrian war.

People held up pictures of refugee children, and a poem by Reema, a 12-year-old Syrian girl, was read out, while £134 was collected to help the children of Syria.

At a recent coffee morning at the Quaker Meeting House, organised by Bradford on Avon Fairtrade and Oxfam groups, 40 postcards were handed over to MP Duncan Hames with messages of concern about the continuing war in Syria and its effect on Syrian children.
