About 85 people attended the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board’s What Matters To You event.
The meeting took place at the Wiltshire Golf and Country Club and gave residents the opportunity to talk about local issues, including housing, environment and young people.
It revealed that the area is one of the highest in Wiltshire for volunteering, with 48 per cent of those surveyed reporting that they volunteered at least once a month; above the county average of 42 per cent.
As a result of the meeting, local issues will be given priorities which will be discussed at the next area board meeting in May.
