BURGLAR Harley Webb, who took part in a raid on a house while on early release from prison is back behind bars.

Webb, 24, of no fixed abode but previously of Croft Road, Swindon, broke into the detached house in Leaze Road over Christmas.

At the time he was on early release from a 16-month sentence imposed for another burglary in the town, again committed shortly after his release from jail. Items stolen including laptops, an iPad, jewellery, two TVs, a DVD player and a TV recorder were taken.

Also stolen was a replica Rolex watch, silver napkin rings and candle holders, two pairs of Oakley sunglasses and kitchen knives.

Webb pleaded guilty to the burglary.

Judge Douglas Field at Swindon Crown Court was told on Friday Webb is awaiting sentence for similar offences in Gloucester and wanted to deal with all his past offending.

The judge sent the case to Gloucester Crown Court for sentencing and remanded him in custody.

Webb was jailed for 16 months in October 2012 for stealing £3,000 worth of fishing tackle from a garage in Marlborough.
