STUDENTS at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham celebrated today as Prince Michael of Kent officially opened the new Centre for Languages and Culture.
The Queen’s cousin spent several hours at the site in the Oxfordshire village finding out more about what the new centre will offer as well as taking time to talk to students and staff.
The MOD’s provision for language training has moved to Swindon after being based in Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire, consolidating the MOD’s Defence Academy into one place.
The visit was followed by a celebration of languages and cultures from throughout the world.
