A MUM who claims to have been smuggled into the country by human traffickers used a fake passport to try and get two jobs.

Onayinka Ajorin produced the bogus documents in a bid to get work at two care homes in Swindon and Wroughton.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing a false identity document with improper intention and two counts of fraud when she appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

She pleaded not guilty to a third charge of fraud, relating to an allegation she produced the passport at Lloyds Bank.

And prosecutors said they would not proceed with that charge against Ajorin, who says she was trafficked into the UK in 2006.

She accepted she used the false ID to try to get work at Langton House in Wroughton and Ashbury Lodge, on Marlborough Road, between January and September last year.

Ajorin, of Whitehead Street, has an eight-year-old daughter and is being assisted by a support worker from charity Unseen, the court was told.

Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday April 25 and released her on bail until then.
