Wallking to Cornwall was a step too far for five Bowerhill Primary School pupils, who are now planning a five-mile sponsored hike for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The team will walk down the canal from Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s Devizes HQ to The Barge Inn in Seend on Easter Sunday, after they were told their initial plans were too ambitious.
Annabel Phillips’ sons Ben, nine, and Jamie, seven, are taking part in the challenge. She said: “We persuaded them this would be more appropriate.”
The pair will be joined by classmates Abbie Craig, nine, and twins Phoebe and Niamh Sayer, nine, for the walk in aid of the air ambulance and also the WWF, after a recent school project on the Amazon.
