The Tollgate Inn in Holt will soon be expanding after Wiltshire Council approved plans for the change of use from a farm shop into holiday accommodation.
The shop at the rear of the pub will be transformed into self contained accommodation, which will include a kitchenette, bathroom, lounge, a family bedroom and a parking bay at the front.
Mark Hodges, who took over The Tollgate Inn with his partner Laura Boulton in August 2012, said that the idea came about after the farm shop was not generating enough footfall.
The popular 16th-century pub already has four en suite bed and breakfast rooms but the new accommodation is hoped to attract longer stays.
