Melksham man sentenced for making and possessing child sex abuse images

A Melksham man has been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register after he admitted making and possessing indecent images of children.
Robert Jones, 52, of Forest Road, also pleaded guilty to possessing two extreme pornographic images.
In total he admitted to four separate offences, possessing images and video ranging from level one to four. Level five is the most extreme category.
He was sentenced on Thursday at North West Wiltshire Magistrates' Court, Chippenham, where he was ordered to register with the police, and was placed on a 30-month community order.
Jones was also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs.
