An appeal has been made to the owners of a male Staffordshire bull terrier that was found wandering in Drews Pond Wood, Devizes, yesterday.
Margaret Lewis, who lives near the woods, said: “A friend of mine found the dog and thought it might be mine as I have a brindle Staffie. So I took it to Macqueen Veterinary Centre.
“It is a beautiful dog and has been well looked after so I imagine its owners will be going frantic.”
The veterinary centre confirmed it had the Staffordshire bull terrier, which had a collar but no microchip.
The Staffie has now been passed to Wiltshire Council’s dog warden, who can be contacted via the council number, 0300 456 0100.
