Fibromyalgia sufferers and their carers had a coffee morning at Trowbridge Civic Centre on Monday to raise awareness of the chronic condition which causes all-over body pain. It was organised by the Trowbridge Fibro Coffee and Chat Group – one of several events held for National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
The mayor of Trowbridge David Halik and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service watch manager Neil Hiscock went along dressed in purple to show support.
The condition causes pain, extreme tiredness, muscle stiffness, difficulty sleeping, memory and concentration problems, headaches and irritable bowel syndrome.
