SWINDON Citizens Advice Bureau is looking to recruit a team of volunteers to help staff its reception service within the new Swindon Advice and Support Centre to open in the summer.
This is a flagship project for Swindon providing the residents of the town with a new centre dedicated to providing advice and information for adult health, well-being and social care issues.
The centre will bring a number of voluntary sector service providers all under one roof for the first time. The Citizens Advice Bureau will relocate alongside a number of other agencies including Swindon Advocacy Movement, Healthwatch Swindon, Wiltshire Law Centre and Richmond Fellowship.
The CAB will manage the reception and information point within the centre and is looking for organised, friendly and efficient people willing to volunteer their time to provide reception services and be the first point of contact for visitors.
Volunteer receptionists will be provided with full training which this year will include a new customer service workshop being run by the Swindon Marriot Hotel in June, provided in partnership with Involve Swindon.
For an application pack and if you require more information about the role and the commitment involved, contact Swindon CAB by email on trainer2@swindon.cabnet .org.uk or call 01793618781 ext 6.
