THE family of little Darcy White are celebrating her success in the Gazette & Herald Baby of the Year competition, alongside the birth of little sister Tilly.

Darcy, two, of Saffron Meadow, Calne, was voted as the overall winner with the prize of a £500 cheque, a canvas print, trophy and certificate.

Parents Sara Murphy and Adrian White had their second child Tilly six weeks ago and Darcy is enjoying being a big sister.

She previously won the 0-9 months category in 2012.

Miss Murphy, 29, is on maternity leave from NCE Computer Group, at Stanier Road, Calne, and plans to make the most of the summer with her girls.

She takes Darcy to Buttercups Kindergarten in Calstone, based at a working dairy farm.

Miss Murphy said: “It’s quite nice that she’s won again. I had a feeling the photos were going to be nice because on the day she was in a really happy mood.”

The runners-up are Hugo Clack, of Larkham Rise, Chippenham, put forward by mum Chelsea Clack, and Grace Trudgian, from Bremhill, put forward by mum Belinda Harford. They will receive a cheque for £250, a canvas print, trophy and certificate.
