Youth Action Wiltshire is holding a summer evening garden party to support young carers across the county and is urging people to come along to the event.

It takes place on Friday, June 6, at West Lavington Manor, near Devizes.

Visitors will be able to tour the gardens to look at art and sculpture from more than 20 artists.

There will be a opportunity to hear a group of Wiltshire young carers perform an improvised piece of music with artist Michael Fairfax, who specialises in public art and sound.

Community First assistant chief executive Lynn Gibson said: “This is a wonderful time of year to appreciate the garden in the early evening light and to enjoy music, art and sculpture in such a fantastic setting.”

The Youth Action Wiltshire events are linked to the Mood of Summers 1914 to 2014 Sculpture in the Park event at West Lavington Manor from June 5 to 22, which showcases around 20 sculptors working in bronze, stone, metal and other mediums.

Tickets cost £16 including wine, canapes and a catalogue, and are available via http://tinyurl.com/nsgx997

Youth Action Wiltshire is also holding an online silent auction between next Wedensday and Monday, June 23, where people can support YAW by bidding for art works created by young carers and other young people.

To bid for items, go to www.acmltd.net/YAW/ auction.aspx between June 4 and 23.
