Grants available for Downs businesses
Grants are available for sustainable development through The North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The group is working with the Sustainable Development Fund, which aims to support projects that bring environmental, social and economic benefits to the AONB.
Typically grants are small and are made to community groups, the private sector, public bodies and charities.
In 2012 a grant went to Kennet Community Energy in conducting a renewable energy business for the benefit of the community.
In May last year KCEL completed its first project, installing 200 solar panels on the Wadworth Brewery Visitors’ Centre in Devizes.
