PROSPECT Hospice’s Bluebell Walk is still open throughout June despite maintenance work being carried out.

The remembrance area will be accessible through the hospice building, between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, while builders finalise a path to the new family lodges.

Visitors are asked to speak to the receptionist to access the Bluebell Walk.

“Since we opened the Bluebell Walk at Prospect Hospice four years ago it has become firmly-established as a place of meaning and calm for many of the people who choose to remember a loved-one there,” said fundraising development manager Neil Harman.

“With this in mind, we were determined to do all that we could to ensure that access is safeguarded, even though it will be limited by necessity for part of the month.”

He added: “We hope people will understand that this temporary move has been driven by work to create much-needed onsite accommodation at the hospice for patients’ families and carers.”
