WILTSHIRE Fire & Rescue Service is joining with other services across the country for a national week of activity, promoting road safety to local communities.
The overarching message of this year’s UK Road Safety Week, organised by the Chief Fire Officers’ Association, is ‘Be Safe Out There’.
During the week, fire and rescue services across Britain will be working to get road safety messages across to all road users, in particular to pedestrians, young drivers, cyclists and motorcyclists.
Today, firefighters and community safety staff will be supporting a road safety day at vehicle leasing and fleet management company Arval, in Windmill Hill Business Park. The event will focus on a range of safety messages, covering cycling, motorbikes, pedestrians and driving.
Tomorrow, Westbury firefighters will be supporting a ‘walking bus’ for children at Bitham Brook Primary School in the town.
