Police officers smashed a car window in Trowbridge town centre this afternoon, after a child was left inside in the sun.
A three-year-old girl was recovered from the car on Church Street, after officers broke into the car.
She was checked over by paramedics at the scene and taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath as a precaution, but is not thought to have suffered any injury.
No arrests have been made in relation to the incident.
