Pupils at Southbroom Infants School in Devizes took part in their own World Cup.
The children were put into teams of ten and representing 18 countries.
During last week they played different rounds and learned about the country they were playing for, culminating in the final on Friday between Greece and Switzerland with a 4-1 victory for Greece.
The final was held at the end of the school’s sports day and afterwards everyone enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine.
Headteacher Caroline Jackson said: “The children loved it and because we had mixed age teams there wasn’t one team that was dominant. What was really nice was how involved they were and their enthusiasm in taking part.”
