A Midsummer Fair of family fun is being held in the gardens at Ashton House, Steeple Ashton tomorrow.

The event, to raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care is on from noon to 4pm, with stalls, face-painting, children’s rides, plants, crafts and a hog roast.

There will also be guided tours of the grounds, created by gardener Dide Lucas, whose husband Steve Lucas was cared for by the Winsley-based hospice.

Admission is £5, under-12s go free. The site is wheelchair accessible and on-street parking is available.

In the evening there will be a Jazz and Indian Supper featuring singer Yvonne Lawley. Food will be served from 7.30pm. Tickets for this event are £20 in advance from Dide Lucas on 07900 150889.
