A puncture and floods did not stop Bradford on Avon team leader Andy Single cycling 200 miles around Bath last weekend to raise money for Bath Cancer Unit Support Group.
He joined hundreds of cyclists taking part in Bike Bath in the city and completed the Bath Gladiator by cycling 100 miles on Saturday and 100 miles on Sunday.
Mr Single, 45, inset, who enjoys cycling to his job at Rotork Controls in Bath and at the weekends, said: “Satur-day was horrendous weather. It was a challenge going through some flooded areas.”
“Sunday was a brilliant ride, but I had a quick stop because of a puncture.”
He was met at the finish line by his parents, wife Kim, and daughters Faith Single-Bloom, 6, and Milly Single-Bloom, 2.
Bath Cancer Unit Support Group is running an appeal to raise £1.2m for a Positron Scanner.
Mr Single has raised over £1,600, which will go towards the scanner.
