There was a buzz around Richard Gardner’s Trowbridge hair salon as it was his turn to sit in the chair to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Mr Gardner, 34, decided to shave his head after his mum, Julie, was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 weeks ago and is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Royal United Hospital, Bath.
Customers, friends and family poured into the Stallard Street salon to watch Julie give him a number one all over with clippers.
He said: “It will take a long time to get used to but it is nothing compared to what mum or anyone else suffering from cancer is going through.”
So far he has raised £2,380. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/Richard-Gardner1
