POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Swindon on a 15-year-old youth.
The incident took place on Millgrove Street at approximately 4.20pm on June 23.
The young man was walking along the pavement when an older male on a bike rode towards him.
After a few seconds of both cyclist and pedestrian trying to negotiate around each other, the victim then stepped onto the grass and apologised.
The cyclist then got off his bike and punched the victim i n the face before cycling away.
The victim was left with bruising to his face.
The suspect is described as an Asian male, in his mid-20s, approximately 5ft 7ins tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a black cap backwards, a blue and black striped t-shirt and black trousers. He was also carrying a small black Nike bag.
He was riding a red mountain bike.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
