Pupils from Clarendon Academy are heading off along the yellow brick road, performing L. Frank Baum’s classic The Wizard of Oz.
The show opened yesterday and runs until tomorrow, with performances at 7.30pm.
The production is based on the original theatre script, but with a twist introduced by staff and pupils.
Auditions began back in November and a strong cast of principals and chorus were selected by the Performing Arts team lead by Anthony Sanchez Harris and Alison Warren, with Lauren Honebon and Alistair Jennings also working to put the show together.
Mr Harris, head of Performing Arts, said: “A big thank you must go to the cast and crew, who have worked incredibly hard to make this year’s production a success.”
Tickets for Clarendon Academy’s performance of The Wizard of Oz are still available from the school. For more information, contact 01225 762686.
