Journalist and presenter Angela Rippon visited Bradford on Avon to officially open the Wiltshire Heights Care Home.
The ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society was given a tour of the home, which has three floors, including one caring for residents with dementia, and is currently home to 33 residents.
Selvie Naidoo, home manager, said: “We are open to the community and have good qualified staff. We are all here for the residents to provide a special service to them.”
“Ms Rippon said: “This is what care homes should be; warm and welcoming. It is a beautiful design and the rooms are very homely and comfortable.
“It is important for care homes to open their doors to the community and schools so people can see what is happening inside and help to create a dementia-friendly community
