POLICE in North Swindon are hunting for three youths following an attempted robbery of a 15-year-old boy who was on crutches.
The incident happened on Tuesday between 5.30pm and 6pm on a footpath adjacent to Oakhurst Way, near Fitwell Road.
The boy was heading towards Oakhurst when three men grabbed his crutches and tried to pull his bag from him. The bag was ripped in the scuffle but the victim managed to hold on to it. The assailants ran away with his crutches.
The first was described as having a dark brown skin tone, between 5ft10ins to 5ft 11ins tall, well-built but not a body builder with dark hair shaved all over and wearing a white short-sleeved t-shirt and dark blue jeans. The second was white, about 5ft 8ins, slim built with chestnut brown short hair the same length all over. He wore a cap, white top and jeans; the third teenager was white, about 6ft to 6ft 2ins tall, slim built, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
