A piece of graffiti containing explicit words has been removed from a wall in King Edward Close, Calne, after police spoke to the owner.
Stockley resident Sue Baker complained to Calne Town Council and Wiltshire Council after walking past the wall on Friday, July 11.
The 56-year-old was worried about local children seeing the words and asked them to remove it, but was told it was the owner’s responsibility to do this.
She said: “What’s really annoying is the fact that the council don’t want anything to do with it. Perhaps the judges of Calne in Bloom would like a photo of it. They obviously didn’t show them that part of Calne.”
The words were whitewashed over at the weekend after Calne PCSO Mark Cook went to speak to the owner of the wall.
